Exciting News

So if there is anyone out there that reads our blog anymore (besides our mothers), we are going to be welcoming baby number 4 into our family somwhere around December 17th.  We are super excited to be bringing another child into our home.  I am 21 weeks pregnant this week so today we went for our ultrasound.  Just Shay and I went and then came home to reveal to the kids what they will have...a brother or a sister.  Pictures of the reveal...

Below they are trying to grab as many of the balloons before
they float up into the sky.  The caught 4 of the 5.
Then they watched as the lone one floated off into the sky.

Carter was just enthused with having a balloon tied to his wrist.

Baby boy looks healthy which we are extremely thrilled about.  Now we just have to figure out a name.  I (Kim) was sure that it was a girl so I had girl names picked out, so now we need to find a name we both agree upon for a boy.

January and February

This post has a TON of pictures!!  I am trying to play catch up because I have so many cute pictures that I need to share.  So here goes...

Our little cowboy.  I love when any of my kids wear this hat, I think they look so cute in it.

Snuggles with Kerstin ("tertin" to him, he loves to pretend
call her on my phone and always says, "Hi terten")
What can I say about this one?  He loved putting the kids boots on.  Pink or not.
This was one of the days we got to enjoy snow this winter (I'm really not complaining, I would prefer winter without snow).  Emilie was having fun posing with the umbrella and telling me to take pictures.

Emilie built a snowman with her friends Colson and Griff.  I only got a picture with these two though.
He had a verrrrryyy long nose.  We called him "pisnowcchio."
Just a cute kid sitting in a box.
Carter always lays on the floor like this playing with his toys.  Sometimes he even puts his favorite blanket under his head and just lays and plays.  Love it!
I wanted to grind wheat one day and Emilie got super excited and asked if she could help.  She did all of it. I just had to sift the flour out of the bigger cracked wheat.  She did awesome!
Nicholas reading to Carter.  He is a super reader now.  He is reading chapter books like crazy.  He has been reading the Spiderwick series and we got him one from the library and he had it read in two days.  I am loving that he loves reading.  He will often come out and say, "I'm tired and I know I should go to sleep, but I just want to ready one more chapter."  I can totally relate.  He is so much like his mother.
Sweet sleeping baby.  I can never get enough of watching them sleep.  They are so angelic.
 Sneaky, sneaky!!
Playing with oobleck.  He wasn't so sure at first, but then got into it.

Two is always better than one, right?  He calls his bink his "beets" and LOVES it.  We really need to get rid of them, but it is going to be hard.

Shaving cream play.  Apparently we do dirty activities with our shirts off (see oobleck pictures above).

Carter is our monkey.  I tell Shay all the time that I just know he is going to be our first to break something. He LOVES to hang from the countertop.
