At the end of August Kerstin and I took our kiddos to the Discovery Gateway. She had a yearly pass and wasn't renewing it and it was up at the end of August, so we slipped in one more time. It is a fun place and recommend it to anyone with young children. We obviously had a good time because I had 47 pictures by the end of the hour and a half that we were there.
The boys were all excited to get into the helicopter, they talked about it on the way down. It was the first thing we went to so that we could beat the crowds.
They were loving being able to steer and push buttons.

Until one of them pushed the button that makes the noise of the helicopter and and the blades spinning around. This picture was taken right before they both hopped out and they were done with the helicopter, ready to move back inside to other things. Us mother's got a good laugh at how quickly it ended.
They have these wind tunnels that kids can send cupcake liners and other paper items up. It would shoot it up in the air. Fun for the mom's too.
Em even got in on the fun. When you put a ball down these holes it makes a noise like a note playing.
There is a replica of a house and in that house there is a kitchen (exactly where Nicholas went first). Since we were there when it first opened there was no food in the kitchen. So it was time to do some grocery shopping in the store.
Emilie found the forks and as is her favorite, she was carrying them around in a bunch (we don't let her carry forks around the house, but she loves to collect things and carry them around in one hand).

LOVE the Discovery Gateway...if only it didn't cost a small fortune for a pass.....anyways, we went there for a play group once and Ty was in heaven!
Oh, to be a kid again!
That looks like a fun and adventuresome place that we'll have to keep in mind for next year!
LOVE the pictures. We have a discovery center here and it saves me in the winter when I can't get out, we hit that place and it is so worth the membership. Glad you guys had so much fun!
