In January, the kids and I went to Colorado for a week. We went to help my mom get ready for the Open House for my brother and his wife. We had a lot of fun while we were there, as evidenced by the pictures below and there are a lot of them.
Cute picture of Em.
I didn't have room to pack Nicholas' snow pants, but he didn't want to miss out on the fun to be had in the snow. Grandma found these snow pants and off he went. If you can't tell, they are all bunched at the feet, they were a few sizes too big, but they worked like a charm.

The snow man that was built while wearing the snow pants. He would not look at the camera for a picture.
My mom decorated a cake for Matt and Rebecca for the open house. Emilie quickly learned that the frosting in that tube was delicious. It really is, I think my mom's frosting is the best around. We were all snitching bites of it.
The cake nearly finished. I never got one of the completed cake. There was another smaller one that looked identical to this and they were put together with tiers and had some beautiful flowers on them.
The boys thoroughly enjoyed being out in the snow. As you can tell it was warm enough this day that we did not have to wear coats. It was wonderful. I wish that was how it was here at home when we got back, it wasn't.

Nicholas wanted to take pictures while he was being pulled around on the sled. Here is what he caught. Some things never change.
Grandpa is still a great horse. There are a lot of these pictures, but they were all so cute I couldn't eliminate any.

Grandpa also doubles as a tunnel when he is not a horse.
The boys spent some time on Grandpa and Grandma's computers playing pbskids.org. There was one time that we weren't paying the best of attention and all of a sudden they were printing out pictures to color. Nicholas is a smart little fella.
We suckered our mom into buying this puppet theatre for the grandkids. We went to Target one day (actually we went there everyday we were there, we kept needing just one or two more things, not only toys) and found the best deals on toys. This little theatre was originally $70, we got it for $17. I just have to tell totallity of our deals. We got probably 10 different toys and the original price for all of them would have been $160ish. We got them all for $36. We thought it was quite the bargain.
Nicholas and William had a great time being little rock stars with Uncle Jason's guitar's from Guitar Hero.
