Annual Ashton Christmas Party

On December 19th we had Shay's family's (immediate) annual Christmas party and good times were had.

First thing on the party agenda was to go out and buy a Christmas tree that all the kids could decorate. Here are the Christmas Tree Hunters (minus Grandpa, pictured later).
Em was there too, but she had just woken up from a nap so she was being held by daddy.Nicholas following Grandpa to look at trees.
The Tree Hunters back by their tree (I think it is the one behind them).
Shay and Ted carrying it to its spot to be decorated. Nicholas, Ryan, and Marc unwinding the garland.
Or winding themselves into it. Decorating the tree. All the decorators. The finished tree. The favorite branch.
The next activity was a pinata. Shay and I made the pinata and it was a huge improvement from our one two years ago. We did a snowman. Most of the group.Emilie taking her turn.No picture of Nicholas hitting it. Not sure how that happened. And it finally burst. After the pinata our camera died even though I had charged it the night before. Oh well. The party continued with delicious food made by Grandma and presents for all. It was a great celebration.
