Faith is not what you demonstrate to get what you want--it is what you demonstrate no matter what you get.

Christmas Eve and Christmas 2009

We had dinner at Shay's parents home on Christmas eve so the kids got to open their Christmas jammies there before we came home.
And then they had a wrestling match with Uncle Cole before we left as well. Emilie was quite the little wrestler.
Christmas morning. Can you tell that Emilie was just woken up? We maybe should have given her a minute before taking a picture. Nicholas originally woke up at 5 a.m. and wanted to start opening presents. Between 5 and 6 I am not sure he slept that much due to the anticipation, but then he fell asleep and slept until about 7:50, which was wonderful.
Checking out stockings first.
Emilie decided to take full advantage of the fact that on Christmas she could eat candy before breakfast. I think she had at least 2-3 candies in the first 10 minutes of waking up.
A tiny baby doll from her stocking. This girl loves her baby dolls (just this morning she walked in carrying at least 4 from her bed).
Chapstick. Before Christmas if you asked her what Santa was bringing her she would say chapstick. She always finds mine in my purse and is not so kind to it, so Santa brought her her own. She was very excited about this.
Her princess crown from Aunt Julianna. A perfect gift. Notice her shiny lips? Chapstick on lips and surrounding face.
Blendy pens. He has seen these on commercials for months and was excited to finally get some.
Opening her dollhouse. By far one of her favorite gifts from Santa and supplemented with additional furniture from Grandpa and Grandma Barker.Martian matter. He spent a good 2 or more hours making martians on Christmas. He loves to show anybody that is willing how to make them.
Emilie and her train. She loves to play with cars and trains. So she got a train track that is easier for her to put together.
Playing with dollhouse after all the mayhem.
The aftermath.
We had a great Christmas morning. The kids spent time with each toy/present after they opened it so it prolonged the whole process which was wonderful. Then we had a relaxing day of playing with toys, Wii games, and enjoyed a visit from Nathan, Kalli, Mackay, and Zac.
